The Fabric

55% cotton, 45% linen woven in a medium-weight plain weave. The cotton provides durability and wrinkle resistance. The linen contributes breathability and a subtle texture that improves with wear. The blend ratio chosen specifically to balance the linen's tendency to crease with cotton's stability. Natural fibres processed to reduce ironing requirements whilst maintaining the material's essential character.

The Construction

Partially elasticated waistband with internal drawstring system. The elastic integrated only at the back panels, maintaining clean front presentation whilst allowing adjustment. Cotton drawstring threaded through interior channel, ending with tonal cord stops. Belt loops constructed from self-fabric, positioned at standard intervals. The waistband faced with cotton twill for comfort against skin.

Welt pockets at the front—clean, flat construction without bulk. Back pockets with flap closure, secured by tonal buttons with subtle debossed pattern. The flaps serve function, protecting pocket contents whilst adding proportion to the silhouette. Side seams finished with flat-felled construction for durability. All pressure points bar-tacked.

The Cut

Straight leg from hip to hem. Regular rise sitting naturally at the waist. The leg opening measures 40cm, allowing the trouser to fall without gathering at the ankle.
